It was such a beautiful and exciting day on tuesday for the 2012 Melbourne Cup. I didn’t get to walk around the Bird Cage doing fashion watch like I normally did, but I did get to host my own little party in the Nursery.
There was so much fluro colour everywhere and guess what, I kind of LOVED IT! Each girl I saw managed to stay classy while getting into funky colours. There was a lot of girls in the orange and pink fluro colours, which they seem to team up with nude. It all looked amazing!
At Cup I decided to go all out. As soon as I saw my Thurley Jumpsuit in David Jones I wanted it. When I first asked if I could have my size it has turned out a girl had taken it to try on seconds before. So being me, I followed her to the dressing room and begged her to let me have it. Thats what I call dedication people!
To finish the 70’s look I teamed it up with a brown ASOS belt (to just separate the colour a bit) a David Jones floppy white hat and beautiful brown Zara wedges!

I would have to say this is my favourite outfit out of everything I’ve worn to the races for the past twelve years!
Favourites from the Melbourne Cup
Mischa was wearing all Louis Vuitton at the Melbourne Cup and it was extremely conservative and fashionable! I think the deep maroon colour really suited her complexion and wasn’t too harsh on her features.
Rebeccas fun and flirty outfit really did it for me. The colours of the fabric were amazing and her body really suits the shoulder cut look! Very beautiful!
I adore this outfit, and it would have to be one of my favourites from the Cup! Jessica goes with the Japanese anime look and it pays off! Very simple and extremely fantastic!
