I was so excited to be invited by the Pybus PR team to see their 2013 accessories preview last week. Knowing little about who they currently represent, I couldn’t wait to see what they had in store.
Pybus PR is a Public Relations and Communications consultancy for fashion and lifestyle.
The Pybus PR office is amazing – it’s right on Swanston St, in the heart of the city – and as soon as I walked in my ears were filled with delightful street music from downstairs.
Immediately I felt like a little kid in a candy store, there were so many beautiful accessories that were elegantly laid out on tables.
After meeting the gorgeous Sabrina I was shown around the office and got to look at some of the items placed on the tables.
Pybus were showing designs from:
I am still in awe from viewing these accessories. Every piece of his jewellry has a personal touch to it, and you can tell a lot of effort has gone into the detail of the metal (such as the ship earrings shown below). You can also see the medieval theme throughout William’s jewellry. The broach earrings could almost be from the Tudor times.
Now this brand is not a cheap one, lets just say Russell Brand shops here. Most items range from the $2,000 to the $20,000 range. This is because it is all 18kt gold, black diamonds and rare stones. If I have the money though, I know where I’ll be spending it.
Letters from Letty
I really love this idea! When you sign up with Letters from Letty (either a gift for someone else, or yourself) you are sent a little goodie pack every month. Their motto is ‘The key to discovering Australian designers, artists and brands’ and they stick to it with a surprise item (could be jewellry, a purse etc.)in every pack. I think this is a great gift idea, and also a fantastic way of discovering those Australian designers, artists and brands that you might not have heard of.
Ghost & Lola
Ghost and Lola creates hand-crafted high fashion jewellry. Everything that was on the table had a mythological theme to it. My favourite piece was the gold leaf ring – I loved the simplicity of it.
The event also supplied tea, deserts and finger food courtesy of the Werribee Mansion and T2 morning tea. I can’t wait to go try it out at the mansion! The food and treats were amazing and delicious. It left my taste buds wanting more.
The beautiful flowers on display were from Domain Flowers, clearly a favourite for Pybus PR, and I thought they were simple and classic – just lighting up the room.
The girls who work for Pybus PR are gorgeous and so friendly. They made me feel welcome in their office and always had a smile on their faces. I can’t wait to see what they have planned for the future! Thanks girls for an amazing experience!
