2013 Spring Carnival outfits!

This years carnival kicked off to an amazing start with perfect weather and fabulous fashion.

It was a fantastic 28 degrees on Derby and Cup day and the sun was shining. The rest of the week wasn’t as nice weather wise, but it didn’t stop from the carnival from proving why it is the best racing festival in the world.
I had such a fantastic week and was lucky enough to go to three out of the four racing days.
Derby was the biggest day of the carnival this year, even bigger than cup and the fashion was taken to a whole new level! Everything was classic black and white and everyone rocked it.

Cup was all about colour and orange was definitely the favourite for the day. It was used in colour blocking and even with a classic white. It is always a treat to watch everyone and comment on how fantastic they look.

Oaks clearly took the win for high fashion and elaborate hats/fascinators. Everyone took class to a whole new level. I saw a lot of pencil dresses and skirts with sexy heels.

And Stakes day was all about having fun and taking it easy.

I had a great time dressing up this year for each day! Here is a look at my outfits over the three days:

Derby Day I wore a simple Kookai dress with a custom made headpiece. I finished off with Tough Love from Mimco, Tiffany & Co. sunnies and some red lippy!

Cup day was my favourite outfit by far. I wore a Review dress and matched it with a gorgeous white Morgan and Taylor fascinator. I had such a fun day and the orange in my dress made me feel happy and bright!

Last, but no means least was Oaks Day. It was actually my first time attending this particular event, despite having a membership for a long time now. Taking time off work is always hard! But I had a great day and really loved getting last years cup day outfit out again. I wore my Thurley jumpsuit, ASOS belt, Forever 21 sunnies, Zara shoes and David Jones hat. To top it all off I chucked on my Chanel ring, which is my one and true love!

I had such a fantastic time and I am already counting down the days till next year!

Until next post…
