If you have followed my blog for a long time now, you will
know that one of the reasons I got into this industry was because of a very
inspiring conversation I had with Johnny Schembri while volunteering at MBFWA
in 2011. We were both completing some last minute sewing for his collection
before the runway.
Yesterday was just another moment of clarity of why I adore
this man so much.
By Johnny owned the runway for his S/S15 collection with his
game themed backdrop and unique designs that only he could pull off.  I felt like I was in the Mario World of
Every piece was structured together to keep things feminine
and also fresh with colour blocking mixed with monogram. Slits that extended
all the way to the upper ribs kept things sexy and sleek.
“It was about involving our customer and making sure she was
part of the event. It helps create a bit of buzz,” Johnny said. “The range will
hit stores in October November, this is a way to give them something before.”
Well Johnny, I can safely say my wardrobe will be full of these
runways designs.
